Banco do Brasil, the largest commercial bank (albeit owned by the Federal Government), and Abert, the national association of radio and television broadcasters, are finalizing a technical and financial cooperation agreement that will include four types of financing. Borrowers must be members of Abert, which will be responsible for negotiations with BB. The following facilities will be available: (1) ?Co-oper Fat? loans of up to 50,000 Brazilian Reals for entities with annual gross revenue of 5m BRL or less. One year?s grace, 96 months to pay, 4% p.a. interest on top of the TJLP long-term rate. (2) ?FCO? (Center-West only) loans of up to 1.2m BRL at 8.75% p.a. or 1.2m-5m BRL at 10% p.a. with three years? grace and 144 months to pay. Loans can reach 20m BRL for networks. (3) BNDES – TJLP + 5% p.a. with three years? grace and 144 months to pay. 4) Leasing – 2.94% per month, tenors of 36-72 months.
