Net Serviços is engaged this week in a new round of talks with creditors for clarification and negotiations on the business plan and debt restructuring proposal presented about a month ago. Decisions aren?t likely to be forthcoming this week, but expectations are positive and both sides want to close rapidly. The business plan is reportedly conservative, based on services that are known to be profitable and don?t require heavy up-front investment. Thus growth will be driven above all by pay TV. The plan contains no ambitious technological promises or goals that can?t be achieved in a reasonably short time.
Globopar is also set to present its new business plan and debt restructuring proposal this month, probably on April 28. Globopar?s process is more complex because the volume of debt involved is large despite the recent fall in the exchange rate and there are fewer options for growing revenue.
