Brazilian deal not expected to hurt América Móvil
quinta-feira, 13 de junho de 2002 , 17h59 | POR REDAÇÃO

Two analysts with BBVA Securities, Jafrey Noble and Carlos Perezalonso, say they?re surprised by the negative market response to América Móvil?s acquisition of Bell Canada International?s holding in Telecom Americas. The deal was first mooted in December, they recall. The transaction won?t affect the company?s credit standing or operating performance, they believe, despite the poor outlook for B band and exposure to country risk in Brazil. So much so that their 12-month target price for América Móvil is unchanged on $24, for upside potential of 61%.
